Final meeting in Leith

18th and 19th October 2014

Presentation of results and exploitation plans were the order of the day for our final project meeting at TLR's everysite office in Leith. NMBU provided the analysis of the data collection and trials in Ireland and TLR presentent the exploitation plan.  ISRI updated us on how the paperwork and finances are to be administered to complete the project.

Show time for the technology. Data collection and early demonstration of what has been achieved. The autumn sun, the sweet air, the soda bread, the stockman's skills  (thanks to Paedar and Joanne) - it's not just the technology that floods the project with warm feelings all round.  Exploitation starts here!

 

 

ROSEI Exploitation, Technical and Management Meeting

1st to 3rd September 2014

Fagernes, Norway.

The meeting included a visit to local upland farming pastures for pigs, a dairy holding with artisan cheese production and an abattoir slaughtering several hundred sheep.

The meeting was held at the Nuremore Hotel, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, Ireland..

The meeting included a visit to Michael McHugh's farm where a demonstration of the ROSEI system was carried out.

The ROSEI project consortium met at the offices of ISRI to review the progress and plan next steps of the project.

The focus of the meeting was to plan for the pilot field trials.

ROSEI Project Announced at Dingwall UHF Conference, Inverness, Scotland

15th March 2013

Helmut Ruppert of Agrident & Brian Eadie of Roxan Developments were delegates at the recent UHF in Livestock Conference in Dingwall, Inverness, Scotland.

ROSEI Technical, Management & Exploitation Meeting

13th March 2013 at Roxan Developments, Selkirk, Scotland

The project consortium is pan-European and includes all the disciplines needed to deliver the result. Roxan sponsored the application for a grant to develop a ROBUST Dual-Frequency Tag & Traceability system for sheep.  

 

ROSEI Consortium Farm Visit

12th March 2013

Our Consortium visited Burnhouse Mains farm to learn about current EID usage. They received a demonstration of sheep shedding systems, abattoir runs and other sensors communicating with Farmplan flock management software.

ROSEI Kick Off Meeting 19th December 2012
